Review: My current reading; Eleanor and Park

↠My current reading↞

Eleanor and Park

Hello!
Today I´m going to talk about the book that I´m reading now, it´s name is "Eleanor and Park".

Synopsis:

Eleanor and Park are two sixteen-year-olds forced to sit together on a school bus in 1980s Omaha, Nebraska. The two could not be more different. Eleanor, the new girl in town, is heavier than average and struggles with a bad home life. Park, a gloomy half-Korean comic book-lover, is just figuring his life and himself out. As they dive head on into a unplanned, unfathomable first love, their lives begin to crack and crumble. Soon, it is not their job to keep themselves together, but each other too.

Personal opinion:

I haven´t finished it yet, but, by the moment, I like it a lot.
I will update this post when I finish it.

UPDATE:

Eleanor and Park is defiantly not the typical high school romance. Eleanor is the new girl, the girl with the crazy red hair and the strange clothes. Park is the quiet Asian boy who does everything in his power to avoid bringing attention to himself: until Eleanor walks onto the bus.

From the very first page I knew I would enjoy this book, even at this early stage the characters appeared perfectly cast and I could immediately identify with them. Shortly following, it appeared that Rowell had structured this book to be in both Eleanor's and Park's point of view

I cryied a lot with this book, it is a beautiful romance story, but I hated the end. Rainbow Rowell leaves a opened ending, so she could write another book, but it has been more than three years and she hasn´t published another one.
Even though I loved this book, I cryied, yes, but I also laughed a lot.

That´s everything for today. I hope you liked it!
Bye!
